Lot Subdivision Negotiation, Macdonald Street

The home owner wished to subdivide this large corner lot, sell the house on the North lot while retaining the South lot for a future home. The City subdivision by-law did not allow this subdivision. However, this old character house was added to The Vancouver Heritage Inventory and subsequently a Heritage Revitalization Agreement (ensuring the long term preservation of this historic home) was negotiated allowing the creation of two lots from the one original. The house and North lot were sold and the South lot retained by the owner for a future new home.
